What To Do! What To Do!

Dateline - Saturday July 11th at around 7:45 PM in the Video Cafe at Calvary Chapel of Oceanside the CCO Peforming Arts Ministry will be presenting a one act play titled What To Do! What To Do! It is loosley based on Leo Tolstoy's fable The Three Questions. In Tolstory's fable the answers to the Queen's three questions have a humanistic ring to them, For example one of the questions is, "What is the best thing to do?" The answer she gets is "Whatever you're doing right now." Huh? What if I'm torturing puppies and watching recordings of the Rosie O'Donnel show for hours on end? Not necessarily the best thing to be doing with one's time. In this adapdation by Konnie Kern our queen only has one question. What must I do to be a great queen? You'll enjoy the suggestions from her advisors as many politcal actions over the past dozen years are spoofed. Whether you already know the answer to the question or not you will have a great time as the CCO PAT presents this original yet ripped off play, What To Do! What To Do! Come for Saturday evening service and stay for the play. There will be concessions sold and childcare available at $4.00 per child.

Home Fellowship Man

You can now link to Home Fellowship Man from this site. Home Fellowship Man is a short promotional movie that was shot in 2004 to encourage the congregation of Calvary Chapel of Oceanside to get connected to a home fellowship. It was written, directed, and edited by Jim Shaver (this is the first time I am taking public credit/blame for it). Camera work was courtesy of Kevin Elwood and Jim Shaver. If HFM had a trailer I think the tag line would be, "You'll believe a Worship Pastor can fly." Rumor has it that there is a sequel in the works.
